Mulgrave Community Park needed a coordinated replacement program for long runs of guardrail and railings across both new and existing staircases. Decades of exposure had left portions of the original system rusted, unstable, and ready for renewal.
Measured for each location
The work began with field measurements and a detailed review of the site. Because the stairs, landings, wall conditions, and angles varied across the property, each railing section had to be planned around its specific location rather than treated as a repeated standard assembly.
Fabricated for durability
BriteArc cut, bent, fitted, and welded round steel tube frames, pickets, base plates, and end caps for the required configurations. Hollow sections were prepared for the galvanizing process, then the completed assemblies were cleaned and hot-dip galvanized inside and out to provide a durable, low-maintenance finish.
Installed with the site team
Installation followed the concrete repair work completed with the project contractor. The finished railings were delivered, positioned, levelled, and secured with galvanized wedge anchors, with final checks made across each stair, landing, and guardrail run.
The result
The completed system gives the park a consistent safety upgrade across a complex public site. Galvanized finishes, practical connections, and location-specific fabrication support dependable use through Nova Scotia weather and daily community activity.
